3.Technology competition is heating up: intelligence and material innovation are key
At the 2024 Shanghai International Fluid Machinery Exhibition, intelligent hydraulic blind plate valves became a highlight. Intelligent valves integrate IoT sensors, which can monitor the sealing status in real time and warn of faults. They have been applied to Baowu Steel’s smart factory.
Breakthroughs have also been made in the field of materials. Domestic companies have improved corrosion resistance through special alloy coating technology and gradually replaced imported Hastelloy. “The proportion of R&D investment has increased from 3% to 5%, and the goal is to exceed 50% of the localization rate in the high-end market.” An industry expert said.
4.Low-end market reshuffle, industry concentration increased
Affected by the implementation of the new national standard GB/T 41916-2024, about 20% of low-end production capacity is facing elimination. Due to price wars, the profits of small and medium-sized manufacturers in Shandong, Hebei and other places have fallen below 8%, and some have already transformed or withdrawn. “In the next three years, the market share of the top five companies in the industry may exceed 60%.” Analysts predict.
